About Dario Michielon
Crafting Fine String Instruments with Italian Tradition
Born in Treviso, Italy, in 1973, Dario Michielon is recognized as one of the finest luthiers of his generation. After graduating with top marks from the Civica Scuola di Liuteria in Milan in 2005, he honed his skills through years of dedicated practice and advanced study. His instruments, inspired by classical Italian models from the 1700s, are known for their balance of aesthetic beauty and acoustic excellence.
In 2008, Dario opened his first workshop in Cremona, Italy, the heart of violin making. In 2023, he relocated to Oppdal, Norway, where he now runs the Michielon Dario Violin Studio. From his studio, Dario creates violins, violas, and cellos, all with the same dedication to craftsmanship and tradition.
